So after seeing the SM in Chicago I actually fell in love, I had a been a slight fan before but seeing them live did it for me. Naturally I go to check out their message board. Basically I was disgusted. Almost every post about a show mouths the Kings, the fans of the Kings (being us of course), and most say that they leave before KOL's set. I wrote a post in the defense of myself and the KOL fans I know, but I also did it for the boards such as HappyAlone. I have yet to see anything in our forums that just bashed the SecretMachines or their fans. I just wanted to share my outrage, and let anyone that was interested know so they could go check out the SM forum sometime. Prepare yourself though, it is depressing...

I haven't read it yet, but that's upsetting. I mean, if we didn't like a band, we're not so juvenile that we would waste our time and energy bad mouthing them and people who like them, rather than discussing the music that we do like. how ridiculous.

not that I'm trying to seek out whatever negative things they said about kol, but I'd kind of like to know... which thread(s) is it in? (I read the thread you started by the way, kudos).

Most of the messages are in the live shows section, and most are about the Chicago show.

oh yeah, I completely agree. I read the replies, and I thought that they were very respectfully worded. It would be just as ridiculous for us to have a grudge against secret machines fans as it is for them to think kol fans are obnoxious just because of a few isolated experiences that they had.
