I guess you could call me an old newbie. I've been coming to this board for quite a while but I registered only last month. And yesterday I posted my first errr... post. Was introduced to KoL way back in 2003 purely by accident. A mate had a spare ticket to a gig in AB Box in Brussels (the date is etched in my heart : November 21). And the rest is history... Brixton will be the 25th time I'll see them live and V will be another milestone : my 9yo will get his first live KoL experience. He's completely nuts about Camaro (his air guitar technique is honed to perfection) and I've been shopping for adequate ear protection. I'll see what I can do about sharing some of the live material I've collected over the years.  K. |

Hello McFearless! I remember you and I went to the same gig once but didn't meet each other (the Download Festival in Mountain View, CA)... That was the last time I seen them live! Are you going to the SF shows? I should assume so right? |

wow this is weird,, hi everyone laura and sarah in particular my old username was dirty bird i been around since the begining, was on the old official board back in may 03' before the album, joined this place pretty much as soon as it was up. just really weird being back! i decided i wanted a new username for a new begining, i been away from the whole thing for around a good couple of years - personal reasons. the type of fans here i don't think have changed that much, everyone's still cool as far as i can tell. the music bought me back and as i've changed it's delicious the music has too, there music will never be far from me. i was thinking of something that it's the moment that leaves the memory. so i came in here to see who's as old as me and still posting. i'm so glad i went away because it's now like rediscovering them all over again, it's just frustrating trying to catch up on what i missed :s that's what i was gonna say; i'll come back to this band cause they help me feel not so strange and believe me that ain't no easy feat. |

hola all, oldie here too.
i only pop on here now and again, leave a few random posts and read up on kol goings on.
i do agree with your obsession going. you kinda dont have the time to obsess over a band when your over your head studying or working really...i still love kol and never miss a tour still!!!
i think it was more fun on here back then though. people were closer, and the thing about meeting the band. i think maybe it just happens less now. i used to see them at smaller venues than the arenas, and it was soo much easier to meet them afterwards then (sigh! just reminiscing on my meeting with le kings)...ah i miss being younger and obsessed with the band...those were some class times.. il always love le kings

well to answer i think is that u sort of get over kol, not entirely but you become less obsessed with the band, which is the main reason people come to this forum, to hear about the band, see pics and hear gossip. As your obsession dies down you start checking the forum less and less. It will probably happen to you newbies too, after a while. :-O *gasp* People get over KOL? lol This makes me sad. I do not want this to happen to me. I'm having the time of my life here! |
