What are the file extensions of the videos you are trying to play? (Like .avi,.mpeg etc). Sometimes microsoft will try and automatically download the codecs you need through media player, but that doesn't tend to work often. You have a few options, you can download a heap of codec packages and install them; you can find a media player which plays the file extensions you have on your videos; or you could convert the file extension into a one which will run using Windows Media Player.

the one i tried to play is an mpeg and i was surprised it wouldn't work. it has refused to play avi before and wmv as well not that i know what the difference is i wouldn't know how to convert the files. I've got realplayer, quicktime and some other player divX but it pisses me off to have to use different players for different files. thanks for your advice by the way

Ok well firstly go here: windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ Make sure you're all up to date and have the newest version of windows media player. Have you ran any spyware/adaware/trojan/virii checks? Might pay to just incase, it's sort of weird that it wont play those other file types. Mpeg is a default which should play in WMA too, but if it's been compressed in any way it wont play. You can try this codec to see if it will help or not: www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Stinkys-MPEG-Codec-Download-5661.html. Make sure you do NOT delete the downloaded folder once you have installed it; because if it doesn't work it would be useful to run the installation again and then uninstall the codec.

You don't want to update to SP2, stick with SP1 forever It's just another way for microsoft to screw over your computer!

very cool fantastic designs. the george harrison site is wicked! the NERD one too. my friend had a go and designed their band website but i'm sure he'd love to be able to do shit like that. so are you san fran or nashville? got a friend who lives in san fran, he moved over years ago but i'm not in touch with him anymore so there wasn't much point to that story.....

Haha, I'm in cali. I would hate to be in TN. I've lived in California all my life; I couldn't part with the waves I don't do all of the designs; although we all help out with the layouts. I work more with the flash animations on a website.

Lol, I've not heard that one before. Sounds like some sort of eastern religion thing. Anyway, I don't believe in luck much. If you want to live by the ocean, why don't you move? Your destiny

i don't live far from the ocean so my soul is calm ha! it does sound like something religious but really it's just my imagination. i believe in karma to a certain extent (looking at yours) in which case you're fucked! lol

Ha, Yeh I mentioned on another post, people are doing it for novelty now more than likely. Either way I don't care. As for karma in real life - I don't believe in it. I don't believe we weill be reincarnated or anything like that.

i think what we give out comes back to us somehow, like a natural balance but then i'm a bit gay like that. So what are you doing here anyway? (that wasn't meant to sound like an accusation by the way!) i mean are you a kings fan? or just bored? or maybe a kings fan and bored?

Well I don't mind the kings, but I'm sure bored too. Most of the guys from around here are away on vacation right now, so I have time to kill. I'll have to keep an eye out for them touring my area some day, and get some tickets.
