I've seen some people marked as guest how does that work? my housemate, who is an arse by the way, has logged in under my name and posted. I told him off of course and he asked if he could post as a guest?

Ok the definitive guest answer, the vast majority of post you'll see as guests on here were posted before guests were banned from posting or people who have deleted/had their account deleted. Now the only way to post as a guest is to register, post and delete the account. Your housemate would be best of registering an account, its less hassle.
