for some reason it isn't letting me give anyone karma.. i just tried to give fillet some for her witty comment and it wouldn't let me.. anyone know why?

i think people can only be karma'd once every hour, or something like that?....obvioulsy fillet's popular  a lot of people seem to be having trouble with the whole giving of karma thing ???xx |

I think its much like a popularity contest. Eh. I agree. And I'm losing, so I don't like it Nh it's not just that I just think it's really silly. And really a board where everyone is always always on their best behavior is boring. A little disagreement is fine but everyone smiting everyone who says something they don't agree with is ridiculous. Lose it! |

I do the same also for people who post something this is brilliant, or just deserve a boost because they are sweet. I have yet to smite anyone. I think that the smite should be taken out and the exalt button kept in. |

yeah I haven't smited anyone either. I don't think I could bring myself to do it. but all in all I agree with cornflake, I think it gives everyone an incentive to do nice things, like posting files etc. haha and razzle, I love giving people karma when they say funny things too. and as far as it making everyone on the board "too nice" I don't think that's been the case. I mean, everyone's friendly but I don't think karma has made people uncomfortable voicing their opinions. at least it hasn't made me uncomfortable.

I would never smite anyone and I have given you karma Liiiz. (remember I gave you karma for your love of the unicorns  ) I think karma is a way to say thanks to the people who do and say cool things; I give it out a lot and I would not ever smite anyone. But I agree with cornflake If you take away smite I won't care but I do like giving people karma. It is another way to say thank you to the people who upload huge files, make avatars, post pics, scan magazines and who make you laugh. If "karma" needs its on thread and has become this much of a pain then I understand everyone elses point. |
