Do this: half way throug trhe picture, go to the commode - put on some talcum powder and some big bright red lipstick and draw crosses over your eyes and come back into thje room and screamm "WANNA BALLOON, YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!"

Hmm, general rule of thumb: JPEG's are all you should ever use for website publishing. DPI (dots per inch/resolution) only needs to be 72 for computer usage. This will reduce the size of the file and keep the same quality on a computer screen. It's only when you need to do photographic prints the DPI will need to be around 320+ p/i.

Yeah but whats your point?....and gifs are great, I know you preffer flash but thats your choice, some of us don't have supper fast macs costing mega dollars or whatever you spend in sheffield.

My point was at the beginning of the thread you were ranting about picture types and sizes, with what seemed to be limited knowledge about your preferences. Gif's are fine for small animations, but they are jumpy unless they're like 1mb+ in size. What do MAC's have to do with it? I actually design flash using a PC. And sheffield??!?! What's that...?

You know full well what it is. As for limited knowledge I bet I know more than you, I just ty to keep it easy to understand'cos if you hadn't noticed this is a KINGS OF LEON forum, all I was doing was providing support for people that wanted to post pictures of the Kings. I don't recall even mentioning reolution apart from to reccomend 72 ppi. This thread was made over a a number of weeks bassed on problems people had on the board,if you wern't there I guess it won't make much sense.

Um I'm sorry I do not know what sheffield is. As for having more knowledge than me... about what? I wasn't aware this was a competition, but on the other hand this section of the forum is dedicated to 'site stuff' - so technical information is accepted whether it be to do with KOL or not?? Mate, to be fair polly did have a point. There no sense banmging on about website publishing and whatnot when all were talking about is putting some funny pictures on a board without bringing it down. Polly's advice was about as technical as necessary really.
