If you can find an image you want to use on the internet for example well i'll ramdomly pic something, when my pooter wakes up.....
If I wanted to use
as my avatar
I would paste the address www.ocs.cnyric.org/bquilter/images/everyday/images/cat_4.jpg into where it says "I have my own pic " in my profile and voila.
If you wanna have exactly what you want upload it to a free www.photobucket.com account and link to it from there.

However this doesn't always work some sites don't allow hotlinking. You will be able to see the image but no-one else will be able to, they may see a blank or alternative image saying something like "image hosted by lycos" If you wanna have exactly what you want upload it to a free www.photobucket.com account and link to it from there.
