I just looked at Caleb's myspace and he was logged in today. It's weird, I can't imagine caleb sitting at a computer, I can't imagine him without a guitar strap round his neck.

This is what it says about the new album on KOL's wikipedia page : The 4th album Caleb recently confirmed to UK magazine NME that the band is already working on tracks for the fourth album even though the third album was only just released. One of the reasons for this is that the third album was finished almost a year before it was released so he felt it was time to write songs again. Furthermore, in an interview Jared suggested the next album will "rock harder", suggesting more tracks like McFearless, Charmer, and Black Thumbnail. "We've broadened our musical tastes in the past couple of years and feel we're ready to tackle our southern roots...again" says Jared Followill, the band's bass player. Recording is set to begin in February, when the band completes its current tour. On February 8, 2008, Kings of Leon were confirmed by Glastonbury Festival organizer Emily Eavis to be playing the festival at Worthy Farm, along with fellow headliners Jay-Z and The Verve.[7] They will also be performing at Roskilde Festival 2008, OXEGEN 2008, Summercase 2008, T in the Park 2008 in July, Werchter Festival [[July] 2008 and the V Festival 2008 in August. They are currently finishing their recording sessions in Nashville, Tennessee and predict the album to be released this year (2008)Maybe it will be released in late December and will feature a Christmas cover with Caleb screaming "Its Christmaaaaaaaaas!!" Maybe they'll give a preview at Glastonbury

you never know. That would be so good. I've seen interviews where they have said they can't release albums in the fourth quarter though, because thats roughly the time where big names release their albums to try and be christmas number 1. in one interview jared says "we just can't compare to hilary duff" Maybe they think they are good enough to compete with the big boys now.

well lets be honest here guys no-one can compete with hilary duff what with her raw natural talent, non lip synching tunes and her lyrically geniusness that she wrote all by herself shes unstoppable

Yeah its terrible really, rihanna could write a song about how she ate too many calories one day and had to go to the gym the next day, and it would still probably reach number one.

I found this on some website, all this talk of the next record is making me so excited. I cannot wait.
"Seemingly addicted to write again, rock band Kings of Leon is accumulating materials for fourth album. They had just released third album "Because of the Times" on April 3, 2007.
Vocalist Caleb Followill said that tunes are already available but lyrics are not there yet. "I'm writing stuff right now, but I'm trying not to write the lyrics because as soon as they' lyrics are written we're going to want to play it. Our record's (Because Of The Times) been finished for about a year and we've been sitting her twiddling our thumbs waiting for the label to put it out, so we're ready to continue on writing songs."
The album "Because of the Times" entered UK chart at #1 in the first week release. Upon this record Followill said, "For the most part, if I can listen to it and not jump off a bridge, then I think it's good' he reveals 'I don't sit around listening to our music, but the other day my cousin wanted to hear it, and so I put it on and it was the first time I listened to it since we recorded it sounded good and fresh and I was proud of it.""

^^Yeah this will be my 10th time eek! showing my age there, its a blast, you will love it, the crowds are always mental, the only down side like any other festival is the toilets and the fact that two of your fav bands can be on at the same time.
Are you camping?

Haha oh caleb said this is q magazine recently about his shoulder popping out when hes playing and how that will make the new album hard to make:
“actually in a way it helps. The pain-killing drugs are good and they get me in the mood for writing lyrics”
Hahaha I cant wait to hear these lyrics/sing them myself.

I just copied and pasted this from an article online:
A title for the follow-up to 2007's 'Because Of The Times' has still yet to be given, but a few song titles have surfaced - 'Cold Desert' and 'Crawl'.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! i'm sooo curious and exited about the other songs now after hearing manhattan. that interview where caleb was saying 'i know i sound like a fucking cock right now but im proud of it song for song' he said something like that anyway. haha, if the album sounds like this he can be a cock all he likes!! legends.

i agree, but the fact that he's aware that he sounds like a cock to me means that he cant be a cock. cock's dont know they're cocks... lmao.
