Hmmm, it sounds like he messed up or he just wasn't doing that before then after that he does it again. So maybe its intentional. Because he repeats it until the end of the song.

lol fair play.. i cant b arsed 2 start it up again but....im sure even caleb said in an interview you can hear the producer talking or something....and also i think its being picked up from the drum mics.....so if it was a band member you probably wouldnt hear it  but lets not go there |

I don't think the bass bit is a mistake - it sounds like it fits and if it was a mistake then they could have just done it again for the record. However i think at about 1:29 in the video below he does seem to slip up: buckyboo.multiply.com/video/item/320/Sessions_-_McFearless(cheers for the vid buck!) You don't see that very often. |

I noticed something else in Ragoo. Like 9/10 seconds in theres a weird like "oooh" noise that's repeated nowhere else in the song I just listened and for some reason that freaked me out! |

I don't know if it was a mistake....but this thread made me really listen to the bass on Ragoo for the first time, and it reminded me how fantastic the band really is, and why I love their music so much.

Hey guys I'm a new member here but i love Kings of Leon and have listened to them for a long time. I recently started playing the bass and have learned most of the songs Jared plays. However, I noticed that at the end of Ragoo 2:25 into the song that Jared messes up. Has anyone else noticed this or am I mistaken? If you listen to what he's been playing before this it sounds like he hits the wrong note and tries to correct it. It's easy to hear if you listen to it with head phones. Ohh, i had never noticed that before!  But I think it wasn't a mess-up! Jared is far to talented to mess up! Man, your so lucky you can play most of the songs. |

thanks for the karma! my first one YAY!
but anyway i think jared's a great bassist and its fun to jam out to their songs he's come up with a lot of good bass lines that are fun to play along with and bass is really easy so it wasn't that hard to figure out. i was just seeing what your guys thoughts on it were to me its a bit of a slip up cuz it goes off beat for a bit but to each his own i guess.
