Bass mistake?

Hey guys I'm a new member here but i love Kings of Leon and have listened to them for a long time. I recently started playing the bass and have learned most of the songs Jared plays. However, I noticed that at the end of Ragoo 2:25 into the song that Jared messes up. Has anyone else noticed this or am I mistaken? If you listen to what he's been playing before this it sounds like he hits the wrong note and tries to correct it. It's easy to hear if you listen to it with head phones.

lol i just listned...couldnt hear it the first time...but then kept listening and yeah it sounds like he has hit the wrong string and tried to correct it and it gives the sound of an extra note

i think he did it on purpose. sounds like he was just jammin out. that rhythm is pretty common

i dunno. i guess if it was a mistake they wouldn't include it in the album and jared would realize he messed up and would probably say something. but to me there's just something about it that seems off. it just doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the bass line.

Yeh he hammers-on after the slide, i dont think hes quite made the slide.OR he hits the hammer-on a quater of a beat to early (although i havent looked at the tab). All in all i guess it just sounds a touch funkier, mind u that riff changes pretty reguarly.

Interesting spot tho, i wonder if there are more out there..........

I noticed something else in Ragoo. Like 9/10 seconds in theres a weird like "oooh" noise that's repeated nowhere else in the song

Yeah I don't think it's a mistake.

They surely wouldn't have put it on otherwise?

Oh and that "oooh" sound is Jared sliding down into the song ^^

i think it was ASH they were saying in an interview they didnt want to edit it much so there wer loads of mistakes on it that they grew to love. could be the same here, they liked it and decided to kepp it, or not i dunno

and i just heard the oooh in ragoo, i like it!!

ragoo is marvellous, i was listening to it yesterday, reminded me of what a great song it really is

I just heard it, ive never noticed that before, im not sure if it sounds like a mistake though.

has this been mentioned before? that at the start of knocked up you can hear caleb shouting something if you listen closely it sounds like 'Hey Dad'?

but yeah, I never noticed the "mess up" before...good ears!
