This was inspired by my slightly weird daydream yesterday of Jared sitting at the end of my bed playing the bassline from Arizona to lull me to sleep.... anyway  , It got me thinking about what my perfect show would be, if I could have anything and they would play anywhere, to anyone, and whatever I wanted. I can't decide yet (will think about it this afternoon) but what about everyone else? Would you invite them to your house? Or fave local venue? Or massive stadium? What would they play?! I think venue, who you would invite, the setlist, maybe afterparty location will be sufficient! And any other details you deem necessary to perfect your night!  |

interesting...
i would have them play in THEIR backyard. the after party would be in their house and would include a tour of it. i would invite all of you of course! as to the setlist, i won't pin it down exactly. but I want all B-sides, Talihina Sky, Red Morning Light, Happy Alone, Ragoo, and The Runner. and maybe an impromtu serenade by matthew, ya know.
also, i hope they have a pool because i expect an "I am a golden god" moment a la almost famous from caleb.
oh if only....

this is hard. i bet i write something and post it, then change my mind! ok. to start with sarah, something you forgot...the invite! goshhh matthew would come to my house and personally invite me to a private show. i would have it at which ever followill's house is the biggest, and of course invite all of you!  they would play, all sorts. but would have to include wicker chair, milk, arizona, black thumbnail, king of the rodeo, spiral staircase and ragoo. (theres a few more but i cant be bothered to write em all!) the after party, would be just me and matt at his place. and then he falls for me, and we live happily ever after  |

A small festival, with only people from this board attending it (and my friends of course). Sunshine, beer, weed, dirt, sweat, friends ... yessah. They'll have to play Red Morning Light, but I have no preferences for the rest of the songs. The after party would be at the festival terrain itself, with a barbecue and lots of alcohol. Fun fun fun.

Great thread Sarah!! 1-At my house of course where y'all are invited! 2-they'd play ALL the songs from their 3 albums! 3- then when evryone had gone home Jared would serenade me with his fave songs and we'd make sweet.........................................music together Muahahahahahaha 4-that would be on Monday seeind as i'd book them for a whole week so they'd come everyday to my house and repeat the whole show again, id have some cake and tea too for my guests  and i'd make them my musical monkeys where they'd play other songs, and i'd take the piss outta them and order them to play Barbie Girl and the Teletubies songs *sighs* |

It would be on my birthday, at a small, small venue. My house is too small but maybe someone's big house. In their backyard. We would have a pre-party and drink a lot. I second MrsJ's thoughts on having KOL play all the songs from the three albums but not in the same order as the albums. I want some surprises. I wouldn't even mind if they didn't sing happy birthday. i would just want to be happy drunk close to them while they play!
And of course, we'd party with them afterwards, maybe play some poker or blackjack! And, since my boyfriend and i would be "on a break" Matty and I would make sweet.....................music just like MrsJ and Jared! haha!!!! :]

I want to gamble with them afterwards...something about that green felt table and eyeing other players is really...well it just turns me on! (Too much info, I know. Sorry kids ) My perfect KOL show would have to be in Vegas, anywhere outdoors I really don't care too much about the location, with a small but devoted audience. They'd play for 2 1/2-3 hours, because in my fantasy they'd have that sort of stamina, playing every song like some of you have said (B-sides too!). Caleb would dance, Jared would spazz, Nathan would actually smile once between those bubbles, Matt would flash those dimples, and they would all go absolutely apeshit during Trani at the end. The show would be followed by a night of drunken debauchery and gamblin' with the boys. Then, after waking up the next afternoon, I'd hit the brunch buffet...I love Vegas. |
