I went to Razorlight yesterday in Amsterdam  and there was this support band called Johnny's Landing.. And by the last song, the lead singer said : ok the next song is for Johnny, i hope he's somewhere in the audience (or something like that).. so they start playing and my friend and i were like NO FUCKING WAY it's ARIZONA  it definitely made our night:) oh and i recorded it, here's the link if you're interested www.sendspace.com/file/e2jsff |

i would've have died of happiness...but that is kinda, i think that cover songs should be older than released this year i mean yeah arizona is a classic but bott came out this year.

I'm actually disgusted.
I completely tresure that song and hold it so close to my heart. The idea of it being played for Johnny Borrel makes me feel ill/angry.

Don't think Mr Borrel is all too popular on this forum!!
I went to see them a few weeks back - mainly cos Editors were supporting before you all ban me. What did you think of Razorlight? I kind of thought it was lame - i liked their first album, but they're really cheesy!!

I kind of thought it was lame - i liked their first album, but they're really cheesy!! aha allright thanks for the explanation!  well i WAS a huge fan.. and i like the first album, more than the second one. but i bought a ticket in may or june and last week my friend and i were like pff do we really need to go.. but it wasn't sold out so i thought it wouldn't be easy to sell the tickets. But then we heard the good news : Moke (a new dutch rockband) as supportact.. so we were like ok we'll go  Moke was great and Razorlight hmm  , but Johnny really has to do something with the arrogant attitude, i agree |

I'm with you Sazu - really liked the first album. Second album - mediocre pop!!
I'm glad you enjoyed the gig, even if it was just for the support band - all of the newspapers reviewed the gig here by stating that they had been outplayed by the support bands!! Time to retire Borrell!!!
