you cant get good tabs on the net anymore becasue of copyright laws. They have all been removed in fear of suffering a hefty fine.

hey, i agree, the tab isnt completetly rite
ive had a look at the a few live videos of charmer n have seen them play it live a couple of times as well and this is how i think matthew plays it....no guarantee its 100% rite but they change the way the play slightly every so often

intro (0:19)

on the ultimate guitar tab it has the last two notes as power chords but i reckon its just single notes with lots of distortion/overdrive. also, on the last note (f sharp) he uses a bit of vibrato.

also, when matt plays this song live, he tends to slide up to the 14th fret on the E string, so its the same not but an octave higher.

ultimate guitar has the chorus down as ppower chords but i think (again) that it is probably just single notes.

after this, you play the intro again twice.

the next is the high pitch harmonics (1:02). the harmonics in the ultimate guitar tab is correct but on the actual recording it is an octave higher - u cant rele get this effect unless u have the rite sort of effects pedal.

u then do the chorus again. this time, caleb joins in (1:11), playing the same two notes over until matts guitar cuts out and he starts to strum the chord (1:25)

matt comes back in with the intro aghain (1:27) and plays it 4 times

then its back to the harmonics.

*note* on the album, matt's guitar is double tracked - at about 1:48 u can hear his mute strumming the chorus over the top of the harmonic. when played live he sticks to the harmonic.

after two harmonics its back to the intro piece again and caleb is playing the same little two note riff (1:53).

however, at 2:07, caleb stops playing and matthew slides up to the 15th fret on the thin e string.

then comes the bass and drum bit

then at 2:15, caleb is basically using the same d shape as before, but beginning at the 14th fret, strumming twice. then sliding down to the 12th fret, strumming once and then sliding down to the 7th fret and strumming once.

i know this sounds rele long and complicated but you'll understand wat i mean when u play along.

anyway, he does this 5 times, but at the beggining of foiurth time of doing this riff, matthew begins his solo.

for the last two runs of calebs riff (beginning at 2:22), matthew strums this

i think, from watching a video that its played like this and not how its transcirbed in the ultimate-guitar tab.

for the first note (whihc is played about 12 times) matthew uses a steady amount of vibrato and does not just strum the note as it is.

im sorry if ur a decent guitarist n found it patronising but its so people who arent so confident know what i mean. plus its hard gettin down some of the little things that u dont usually notice down in writing
