I haven't seen them live (in the flesh yet) - roll on Brighton in December yeeeee haaaa I have watched a few of their gigs (on tv and download) and Caleb says "Hope you guys are having a good time - I'm having a really good time up here" - but he doesn't LOOK like he's having a good time ? Wouldn't hurt to smile a bit and look like they're enjoying themselves but they still rule

At Oxegen Caleb made a very accurate deduction when he told the audience 'Wow, you guys must be getting really wet out there' followed by loud cheers from the crowd. The weather had been really good when i was leaving for Biffy Clyro, so i left with only a t-shirt (and sunglasses) on the top half of my body. But at The Fratellis about half way through the heavens opened and it started lashing rain for the rest of the gig and all the way through KOL. So i either had the choice of leaving to go back to camp quickly with my friends and get my raincoat, missing some of the Kings or stay and get drenched (well, even more then i already had got) - of course i stayed. Thankfully i got up close and the crowd was pushed so close together it was actually quite warm.
As far as interaction with bands has ever gone - after KOL i went to see The Wombats before i went back to camp for a while, and since i didnt need my sunglasses anymore and the Wombats had been really good i threw them onstage at the end of the gig. I think i threw them in the direction of the drummer but as soon as the bass player saw them land onstage he looked like a kid at christmas and rushed over, picked them up and put them on. he looked around for who threw them so i gave him the thumbs up and he looked delighted and gave me a thumbs up back
Also i threw mud at the Pigeon Detectives lead singer during the mudfight at their gig at Oxegen - despite the entire crowd throwing mud at him, he saw me and picked up some mud that was onstage and threw it at me - hit me smack in the face

I love watching early vids of them on all the late night talk shows and such when they're image was true to how they are, their essence (as portrayed in YAYM). Their image these days seems very contrived and way too "trendy."

I completely agree. It feels like a parade of sorts. Their pants may outlive their music, and that is depressing
