Wow!
I especially love the bit that says stairway to heaven is still popular on karaokes!

That would be a tough call. I saw Jimmy Page in 1988, and he had trouble playing a few of the songs he wrote when in Led Zep. I see Keith Richards is in the news currently because of a poor review of his performance at a show. I'd hate to see anything like that happen to Led Zeppelin, as they're one of my favorite bands of all time. I'm sure anyone who saw LZ live, in their hayday, would want to remember them as they were. I would. Nobody likes it when their heroes grow old.

I'm not a big fan of reunions. Bands are never as good, and they are only good for nostalgia, so you might as well buy a dvd or an album.
Having said that, and I know they said Jason would rum if they reformed, I'd love to see Dave Grohl thumping away behind them.
I am a bit skeptical though, as Robert Plant has denied these rumours for a long time, so until there are direct quotes from band members I'm not going to trust these reports.
Interesting to hear they are putting out a greatest hits in November. Thing is with Led Zeppelin, much like the Beatles, they have so many good 'album tracks' (even though Led Zep never released any singles, I'm sure you know what I'm implying), it'll be a hard compilation to put together.

I love Pagey! I saw Plant in 2002, and he ruled. Yeah, I agree with kingjuddy in that I doubt they'll get back together. That is such an old rumor! (But if they do get back together, they should put Jason Bonham on drums and not Dave Grohl. Blood's thicker than water!) I love Zep! I have a hundred or so hours of boots by them if anyone wants any. Just drop me a line!

Was lucky enough to see Page, Plant, JP Jones, And Jason Bonham play 5 tunes at MSG back in 88'. Hands down the most emotional show I've seen. Was very sloppy but there wasn't one person in The Garden who cared. Also saw Cream there in 05' and that was phenomenal too.

It wouldn't be like the old days (never saw them, way too young) but not necessarily a bad thing besides you can see bands now that make a right mess of the whole thing!

aw man, i really don't know if this reunion thing is a gd idea, i mean, they just aren't Led Zeppelin without the legendary John Bonham. it just wudnt feel right watching them. it would feel like i was betraying bonham... lol... that doesnt make me a freak does it?

Nobody likes it when their heroes grow old. I agree! That's why I won't go see my favorite band of all time, the Rolling Stones. First of all, I don't want to see them as little specks on a stage, and second, I prefer to remember them as they were in their drugged-out raunchy days, when they made the best music. I saw my high-school hero, Ian Hunter, a few months ago. It was kind of sad. He was playing in a really small venue/bar, and he looked so old and frail. I just wanted to go up and give him a big hug! Oh ya, I've seen RATM 2 times (once in the front row) and survived both times. I'm very proud of myself for that! They are so good live - I hope they tour again.

I know I won't be able to afford tickets to this reunion...if it was the original Led Zeppelin in all their glory, yes...I'd fork over whatever kind of cash it took, but the current incarnation is just not worth the amount of money it would cost me for tickets, travel, etc.
