The few times I have seen Kings of Leon, they have stuck to their own material and not played any covers. Not that I am complaining, I would almost rather not subsititute a cover song for one of their unbelievable tracks. If they have played covers in the past though what were they AND if they do play covers in the future what would you want to hear them play?

I would love to see a pearl jam cover, given the connection between the two bands. Maybe that would set up some more collaborations on stage.

I would love to hear them to play something from The Strokes. But know I'm thinking of it ... I can't come up with a song that would fit Caleb's voice as well as his own songs do. Maybe Juicebox or Red Light? Or The Kinks.

I agreed that Caleb has a unique voice, but isn't the whole point of covers to put a new spin on a song? I think Caleb's voice could actually make many songs better. It would be awesome for them to cover some Bob Dylan. Maybe the boys rip up so AC/DC (Shoot to Thrill?) or let Jareb showcase his baseplaying by covering "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes.

"Gimme Shelter" or "Let it Bleed" by the Rolling Stones (really anything by the Rolling Stones!) "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young "I Walk the Line" by Johnny Cash "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding
Come to think of it, Caleb could sing anything and I'd like it - I absolutely love his voice!

Definitely Neil Young. Even though he is from Canada isn't he based in Nashville now. I believe Jack White is as well. Be cool for a Nashville collaboration.

I like the idea of them doing something compleatly off the wall, apparently according to andywarlock (I think) they were going to cover Rhianna Umberella ella ella for Jo Wylie and i'm still trying to get my head round what that would have sounded like. Can't decide if I would have loved it or hated it.

Oh my, just imagine. I think they would make a great cover of that one. I can totally hear Caleb sing those high pitched notes. Or what if they'd cover Hurt (Johnny Cash's version). I think I would cry if I heard them play that, it's so beautiful.

What about Here in your arm - Hello Good bye or like a virgin - Madonna I can just see Caleb singing that. Is it sad that I'm laughing at that thought?

I believe this has already been a thread somewhere, but who can be bothered trying to find that??
CCR - Commotion Van Morrison - Gloria Anything by Neil Young - too much to name something specific.
