Thats a great question...been wondering myself. The light is still on even though the bulb is smashed. Must have some sort of significance to them.

hmmmm. yeah the lightbulb is kind of a weird thing. and then in australia or whatever they had the skulls on the cover instead. i much prefer the flowers from ASH. ah well!

when i first saw the album cover for BOTT i thought it was a
lightbulb but then when i looked deeper i could see a skull!

Well you know how they called it Because Of The Times, because if an album does well it's 'because of the times' and if it doesn't it's 'because of the times'...... well my little theory about the lightbulb-skull thing is that it ties in with the album title, if an album does well 'because of the times' it's because a lightbulb has gone off in people's heads when they've heard it and basically they've thought 'fuck me, this is magnificent'....
But they always knew it was goina set off peoples lightbulbs... so maybe the lightbulb thing was like a little flutter of arrogance as if to say 'Yeah guys, we've just produced our finest work to date, this is really goina blow peoples minds away, hey why don't we put a lightbulb on the cover, it'll be cool if it kicks off like we premeditated it, and if it doesn't who the hell will give a shit, sure what the fuck... let's just incorporate a skull as well, what you think Nacho?'............'Hmm sweet!'
When you've written something you know is good, then you secretly know that it's REALLY GOOD, Caleb knew for sure that this album was going to make them bigtime....
