the greatest thing the leon's music has ever given you.
for me: i'm grateful for the leon's music cause without it i wouldn't have realised how cool and fucking awesome mick fleetwood's drumming is. if i hadn't have listened so intently to nathan's drumming then maybe still by now i wouldn't have realised mick fleetwood.

That greatest gift the Kings have given me is their incredible music. They brought back the real homegrown rock and roll that I grew up listening to like The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Lynard Skynard and Bob Dylan just to name a few.
They revitalized rock and rool and truly made me appreciate music them. They truly are in a class of their own amidst all of the cookie cutter bands out there.

My second favorite band next to.... KINGS OF LEON. Kings of leon is so important, the greatest thing they've gave me is a closer relationship with my girlfriend because to me there like ours in a way. We got into them together, we listen to them talk about them together and go to the concerts together. So we share our love of Kings of Leon, which is very important to me. We're like the only ones in toledo that I know are into them like we are. |

the kings kind of saved my music taste! before i started to listen to them in 2004 i was like "ok, there are some really cool bands i listen to but...i need some new stuff to discover!!!" and it was the time when everyone started listening to arctic monkeys and maximo park and franz ferdinand, so all the music i had was sort of the same. and then i "discovered" red morning light as the title song of fifa 2004 and i was like blown away and fell in love. and i'm fuckin greatfull!  |

kings of leon got me a 4.0
my godparents are a little bit paranoid and they didn't like the venue that kings of leon were playing at when they came to seattle so we came to a decision that if i got all a's on my report card they would let me go..and pay for the tickets as well
so essentially the followills are sending me to college haha

Umm? I've met some pretty cool people through KOL, that's a pretty neat gift. Other than what's already been stated, they helped me score a cheating boyfriend (it was our duel love for KOL that sparked the initial attraction)...and I wouldn't exactly call that a gift, so...
Oh I know...other than KOL I listen to pretty much exclusively British music, so they've kept my faith in American rock and roll alive.

i agree ^^ I am a British music girl through and through, and the fact that they are in my top 3 has forced me to spread my vision a little. I love the boyfriend stories - i met a guy who thought my taste in music (esp Kings) was very cool. I lent him the 3 CD's and he broke up with me. I still don't have those damn CD's. If i didn't have my iPod - i'd be looking at 20 to life. |
