dont worry - we all have different tastes and opinions on music i just never brought myself around to picking a favourite album or single of KOL - i think my head would explode. i love them all "Too Shay"..yes i cant spell for shit. but its friday so i dont really give a shit! ive had a hole week of school to spell correctly, so i refuse to do it now hehe yes, my head would literally explode if i had to pick a fave KOL song and album...honestly, it really depends on the mood. if im sad, i really like BOTT, its got that more serious tone to it, u know? well it certainly isnt the same mood as the other two.. wen i wanna dance or im happy, like i wanna party, ASH or Y&YM for shizzle! lol sorry im being cheesy... besides the acoustic ones, the songs on these two albums are really uplifing... overall i think Trani and Arizona are really exceptional/beautiful songs..yes singing about a whorehouse/trani is some how beautiful in my head... oh well. wen i first fell in love with KOL i loved soft, dunno why tho, although caleb talking about u know wat is somehow "hot" or "sexy" /dont ask! he hasnt left much to the imagination, i appreciate it some how hehe so yes, in conclusion, it would be too hard to pick one fave KOL album..i would end up saying "all"...

Oh ASH is definitely my favourite KoL album. Ok so different is good. It shows they're progressing as a band, but I just found BOTT too different. I still love it (when you compare it to some of the complete s*** that's out today). Arizona, True Love Way, Black Thumbnail, etc. they're all great songs. But I always go back to Aha Shake. It gets me every time.

i think the important thing is the songs don't end up being all about being on the road, the inability of the rock musician to commit and the downside of being really, really famous. cause then it is over as far as i am concerned. i have also thought BOTT is too different at times, but then on relistening i still find odd things and strange people who might end up with no teeth and drunk and guilty. either in tenessee or some other godforsaken corner of the world.so... maybe they are still on the path...just ....

I wonder what percent of sophomore albums have lyrics directed to being on the road..

You're right but I love those songs the most when they lay their lives out like Thanksgiving dinner. This question is killing me. It's a real tossup for me between ASH and BOTT. I love ASH for the lyrics and BOTT for the music. I like YAYM but I don't connect to it as much as those two. Okay, I guess I have to go with BOTT just because the whole album was a surprise. They crossed some genres, got a bit better musically, and I feel it's just a turning point album for the band in general.

I think without doubt ASH is a better album
but they cant make the same album again and again
kings are a great fun live band but they arent the best musicians or songwriters going around
think they tried to reach on BOTT but it just truned out a little limp with too much dylan and springsteen in there
