My top two are Trani and True Love Way. Good to see an Oasis fan shakermaker, best band in the world. KOL second. But I love Slow Night So Long leading into King of the Rodeo. Ace pair there. Rise and shine all you gold-digger mothers...

Wicker chair and My third house.......of course all songs by KOL are always on repeats but those get a double dose of listening.

entirely impossible to name one. honestly. just out of two albums, there is MAYBE one song i kinda dislike, and thats saying something. in fact, every song has at one point been my favorite, until of course i heard the song that came next. however, i have always been a big fan of milk, four kicks, day old blues, trunk, camaro... oh fuck it, this is impossible, im gonna end up naming all of em.

There is no possible way I can choose, my favourite changes daily (and it's glad to know it's not just me!). All of their songs are brilliant and in very different ways.
Slow night so long was one of many tracks that stood out to me when I saw them live recently, they seemed to really enjoy performing it.
I can’t possibly commit to a favourite though!
I wonder what theirs is, any ideas??

I will.
We've had this post before as well I swear.
Aside from Trani I also love California Waiting, Taper Jean Girl and Arizona.

By the 'best' I suppose I would say like.. the one that best represents the band. If someone asked me to play them one Kings song that would give them a full as possible picture about the band I would definitely say Trani.
But others I adore are Head To Toe, Milk, WooHoo, Happy Alone.

I've had a hard core obsessive love affair with at least half of their songs so it's hard to pick a favorite. But....... I'll have to say MILK. Some might say that musically there isn't much to it, but it just gives me this strange uncomfortable feeling that I actually kind of like in the pit of my being. It's absolutely haunting and beautiful at the same time...The sorrow and wanting in Caleb's voice, the sex in Nathan's drumming--shit, I have to listen to it now! Nicely put. I like Milk as well.

I like Milk as well. milk was the first song i ever heard by them, and i ENTIRELY agree with the way that you describe it. i heard it on the radio far before i ever got into them, and i fell hard for that song long before i got into them as well. milk will forever be one of my favorites. and yes, its haunting and painful sounding, the way that he sings in that one.

I havent got a favorite..but I think if there was only one KOL song I could choose from to listen to till eternity..as if such a scenario would ever happen. I think it would be King of the Rodeo. Because after almost 3 years of owning the song and listening to it maybe a thousand or more times..I still love it so much. I never skip it. And with some other songs I need a break from it a little while only to get into them again after a while.

I couldn't possibly pick, at the moment King of the rodeo, maybe, or perhaps mcfearless...... Kind of related to this, as nobody seems to be able to decide or their choice changes all the time I was wondering if there's a thread anywhere of song vs song (same kind of thing is on some other site that I can't remember) e.g. i post 'on call or red morning light'then someone replies, say, on call and then poses another choice, for example 'dusty or trani'. And it continues like that. So you can think about what you prefer at the time and post ones you want to know someone else's opinion of. Does this make any sense? If we don't have one I might start the thread.

Absolutely no way to pick one! My faves are Four Kicks, GEnius, Wasted Time, Soft, McFearless. And my faves have changed from almost 2 yrs ago when I got into them. Back then it was Red Morning Light and Joes Head and Taper Jean Girl. Man, I have got to get to a show soon!!!!
