I get it with Knocked Up..more maybe it's my biological clock..or my mom's clock..she's begun making comments about wanting to be a grandma... I'm barely 23 for Christ's sake...I mean..WTF?!
Pfff..anyway..Fans is definitly so beautifull..it makes you wanna cry.

I hate to say that I don't find this song very special.
Arizona is the one that gets me. And, Knocked Up.
Fans is in a major key and is way too upbeat for me to get me feeling anything somber.
It's more of a celebratory song, I think. Kind of anthem-ic with that whole little "shout!" or whatever it is part.
Actually, I find this song kind of insulting. It's called fans, but when I read the lyric all that I'm really reading about is wild kids, dumb kids, posers even.
I dunno. That's just me, I could be all wrong about it.
It's very anti-climactic, this song. Not saying it's bad or anything. Just an opinion.

arizona live (at roseland nyc) made me want to cry a little, it was incredible. ... then i saw it live at philly and i was getting molested by the dude behind me while i was struggling to breathe since the crowd did not stop moshing for one second and thats when it was ruined for me. (DAMN THE ASSHOLES OF PHILLY).

I was almost sure I was going to cry when I saw Fans live...but I held it in. That proved to me that the only band capable of making me cry during a live set is Oasis...too many memories behind that band for me to stay dry eyed. I'll give KOL a few more years...

none of them make we want to cry but they do bring me a certain inexplicable calmness...I think its brought on by the intriguing stories each song tells...accompanied by the music of course..

true love way...when i see it live, i'm gonna cry.
california waiting has made me tear up a little bit.
at the san diego show on june 10, between songs i screamed, "CALIFORNIA WAITING!!" and then caleb went to the mike and said, "this song's called california waiting." and then they started with that beautiful riff....ahh...

Wow. We've got some sentimental folk here, don't we. I just don't find myself crying at any of these songs. They get to me-- they move me, but I just can't cry about them.
I find that odd. Or maybe I'm just an asshole.
I'm not crying-- it's just been raining on my face. . .

I just recently listened to the XFM interview of Caleb explaining all the songs on BOTT from Buck's Multiply, and after hearing his explanation of The Runner, it makes me cry when I hear it. I just want to give him a hug.

"That taste, all I ever wanted, all I ever needed, too dumb to surrender"
