so are they playing the same set list EVERY night or what? looks likes they had the same set list on msn (london), at indy, cincinnati, and at the show i saw in st. louis. love these guys so much, but what's the reasoning behind the same setlist?

its easier to do and it makes the tech guys jobs easier too. not a problem really, 90% of bands do the same set for an entire tour.

i totally understand that part of it.
i guess it's not a big deal unless you follow the band around city to city.
i don't think it could be a better setlist really. can't wait to see them again!!!!

^Seeing Matthew play the triangle on Milk (I think it was during Milk) in some concert footage I saw was the highlight of the whole damn show. It was awesome.

I'm pretty sure that was in Arizona after the "shake hands" bit but yeah it was cool. I actually found it quite funny - I never noticed it on the album track!

On the topic of setlists tho, i really hope they play red morning light in aberdeen, thats the song that got me into the band in the first place and it would make my year

I think they stopped playing that pretty soon....I mean they didn't play it in 2005 and they didn't play it this year when I saw them...

They probably think a song like red morning light is probably too cheesy. sounds to me the song they play the most are the ones that wre quoted most as the most special. its a shame...cause red morning is solid

Where do you find the set lists? Or could someone clue me in on the most previous one?

they probably got bored of RML pretty quick...
I mean its quite repetitive and lasts 3 minutes which is a long time on that first album lol
Don't get me wrong I like it though, and was quite gutted they didn't play it...

I've seen them twice this year so far and both sets were the same. No complaints from me though as I thought they included the best tracks, and both performances were amazing.

their sound was awesome, and i know that was made easier by having the same set list. opening bands had great sound also.
curious if the kings might get tired of it and wish to change it up.
i thought i read some posts that said they weren't playing true love way or fans ... or spiral staircase... so to hear all 3 was amazing.
i'd continue to go see them if they played the same setlist for the rest of their lives :]

the same setlist may be more convienient for the roadies but more predictable for the fans as well.
what would it hurt to throw in a "wicker chair" or "where nobody knows" once in awhile.
