It's a flower. al the artwork for all releases of the album, and singles was done by the same photographer =]

i was actually snooping on Buck's multiply site yesterday and i watched an interview with jared and matt where they talked about it. really funny interview but can;t remember whetehr it was in part 1 or 2 that they talked about album covers...
