There's way more people over here than on my board, so I wanted to bring this up over here. (Also, a lotta you people know way more about this stuff than I do.) When I eat my Rice Krispies in the morning, I flip back and forth between the news and VH1. Depending on my schedule, I sometimes catch one of their video countdown thingamajigs where you're sposed to go online and vote for videos. Personally, I've always thought the thing was rigged, cuz I can't figure out who the hell's voting for Nickelback. But I was wondering....... You think it would be worth it to pool together our resources (ie. man hours, basically...) and vote like crazy people when the Kings do their next video? You can vote more than once, and I figure if all the regular posters over here and on o-dusty and all the folks who buzz around our MySpaces voted five times each, that'd be a lotta votes. They'd never be able to supercede Nickelback, but if they made it even as runners-up, that would be, like, five seconds of screen time in the daylight. In the US! And they're handsome boys, so all the girls would drop their Froot Loops when they saw 'em. Also, (this is a long shot!) but someone at Viacom (VH1, MTV) might notice the support and look at the band a bit closer. What do you guys think? If it's a dumb idea, tell me! Cuz I don't wanna waste my time on it. lol

I think it's a great idea too, there aren't enough dedicated Kings fans .. I am like the only person out of all my friends who likes them. Well, they like some songs but only beacause I force them to listen at every oppurtunity. Anything to beat Nickelback

is that the thing in america now? Nickleback? They've been around for a few years, but they won't go away, and I can't figure it out! I don't know a soul who supports them at all. They must have a big family buying all their records.

They must have a big family buying all their records. They have a bunch of high school fans in the Midwest...during their first album my senior class rallied up trying to get one of their songs as our graduation song...I was able to prevail and get The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony instead...because I'm awesome. Anyway, I think a lot of the Nickleback love is coming from younger kids that solely listen to Top 40 radio...because anyone with anything that resembles tastes will be able to see right through their suck. Regardless, I think the VH1 Countdown Rally is a good idea...I've seen some pretty decent bands on their in the past, so it shouldn't be very hard to get KOL to crack it.

You would not believe how many people in my area are unaware of the band. I give out some cds I've burned to help spread the word, but I'm thinking the band will be going "big time" soon.

Now we'll just wait 'till they come out with their video. This is where you go to vote: www.vh1.com/shows/series/top_20_countdown/ but it's soooo loaded down with Flash and layers and shit. I'll see if there's a faster way to vote in the meantime. Coooool.

Well on E-Bay there were no tickets available for the Minneapolis show, but a lot for the Toronto show. Does that mean they're not as popular there? Your guess is as good as mine.
