yesterday i was watching mtv rockzone and the moderator said that the kings have said in an interview that they wanna go back to studio this year cos they already got so much new stuff and that they might release the next album at the end of the year or early next year.
did anybody of you hear this rumor too?

Yeah, I read on NME that they were ready to start recording the fourth album, because Because Of The Times had been ready for a year before it was released. It can only be a good thing!

"The record was done probably last summer, but record labels have a system of which quarter you release which record in, so you have a better chance of selling records. I guess, and we didn’t want to compete with Beyonce and Justin Timberlake, so we waited until we could compete with David Hasselhoff and whoever else put out a record when we did."
Regardless, new tracks are already beginning to surface from the Kings during their soundchecks. "We have about three or four songs we’re working on now. All of our songs, we work them up in soundcheck. Like, the whole last record was written in soundchecks. Because you just get so bored you don’t want to play a song in soundcheck that you’ve already played 50 times and you’re going to have to play it that night, too. So, we try to take that as a time to work on ideas. Then, before you know it, 10 soundchecks later we’ve got a song together." |

New album planning already is unbelievable. It hasnt even sunk in yet that they want to get the 4th album underway, thats crazy!

what do you think the McFearless B-Side will be? I hope it'll be another Spiral Staircase/Head To Toe-esque track. But they might go in a different direction with this one.. you never know. |

Some of their songs I never fully appreciated until I saw the live performaces of them on YouTube. Maybe their next release should be a live album? My $0.02.

I had a feeling they'd do something quite different, at some point, a bit like brmc did howl, maybe an acoustic album, something like that. . .although i doubt it will be the next album...
but being honest not a clue

A live album would be nice, but I'd rather they released it as a live DVD .. accompanied with the 4th album? Dunno if there's any plans for a DVD, but there really should be.

Why do KOL's songs never get correctly labelled at festivals?
