"I'm sober from a bar, but you dont drive me"
I dont see much sense in that line.
Can anybody relate to what that means? Please help me out.

Rock and Roll doesn't need sense at all.

Nah, you couldnt be more right. But the kings are Kings at writing good songs. I'm a little dissapointed they would record that.
But now that I read what you said.....I can dig it.

as always you could make it out to be sexual, ie 'drive me'. haha but i guess you can do that with any sentence almost.

"My Third House"
How many souls will it take How many necks will you break I say, how many bones can I waste In that little old shape I say, hey, I'm sober from a bar But you don't drive me Showed you my car But I don't drive
Let me get away On a holiday We could, tire the ones we know Gonna tie right on I say, hey, I'm sober from a bar But you don't drive me Show you my car But I don't drive
Tell the idiot yeah Running down my back We could, see the devils in town Like the slow fall down I say, hey, I'm sober from a bar But you don't drive me I showed you my car But I don't drive I said, hey, I'm taken it back Like you don't know You drove me away When you don't know
Let me get away On a holiday We could, tire the ones we know Gonna tie right on I say, hey, I'm sober from a bar But you don't drive me Show you my car But I don't drive

what's up with the chad smith refrence? I was just listening to the song. It threw me for a sec--why Chad? It made me laugh 'cause my sister thinks he's hot stuff at the moment.

What i think " Sober from a bar" means is just an interesting metaphor for being drunk.
He just found an interesting way to say hes drunk again.
And it fits the lyric perfectlly.
Im drunk and you wont drive me, is boring so he found another way to put it.

There's some neat experimental effects on "My Third House." I wonder if that's the direction they'll head in on the next CD?
Also, I like it that their B-Sides are always worth getting. I'm reminded of those great Rolling Stones B-Sides I always used to track down, that were worth the trouble ("Child of the Moon" and "Sad Day" come to mind).
