Hi everyone, I'm new to the site. I've been a fan of the band for a while. I'm sorry to open a thread immediately, but I couldn't see this mentioned anywhere else. I didn't just join up to ask this either! I love the new album, but this is niggling at me.
Anyone know what that sound is at about the 3:03 mark in Black Thumbnail? When Caleb sings 'running from' you can hear a fuzzy noise in the background. I know it seems sad but I was just wondering what that is, or if it just bad sound quality. Anyone know?

I think its just intentional guitar feedback.

I don't know anything about guitars, but I don't think it's a chord. It's more of a background noise that sounds like it shouldn't be there. The feedback thing seems likely.
