Hello everyone, I have a source at the NME that the gig last night in Blackpool's Empress Ballroom will become a legendary gig!! The drama of the broke barrier (making the band leave the stage for 40 mins before they returned) and the cheer electric vibe coming from the crowd shocking everyone espicially the band who commented backstage at their suprise and shock of their success! Bands have leapt in success after playing this venue before, like the Stone Roses who performed a legendary night in 1992! My band, 'Whiksey Headshot' were in full attendence and we were moved to say the least! We didnt get chance to congratulate them personally but we think they did a cracking job and will up their UK sales for sure in our opinion and our source at the NME. BTW; Check out my bands page too while were talking, we have released two new songs to the public! www.myspace.com/whiskeyheadshotWas anyone else there? Lests have your feedback! Cheers! Mike

Last night was awesome and crowd were electric! The chanting of 'Leon, Leon...' was ace! I was at the barrier in front of Jared, and ye during Black Thumbnail the barrier just swayed forward, a screw had come out of place beneath us, so they strapped it all the barrier up.
But after that incident they played an AMAZING gig, i loved the springy floor, and Caleb's suave dancing and hearing Taper Jean Girl again.
During the gig this man, i think must of been the tour manager of the band or summut was giving these sticker things out to people at the front of the crowd, i passed one back to someone think it was just promo stuff, until i got one myself and realised it was an aftershow pass! So after the gig we hung around with others who also had these passes and then we all got took to a room with a bar, where The Stills were hanging out. Then about 20 mins later Caleb, Matthew, Nathan& Jared turned up. I was just in a daze, it seemed so surreal! I couldn't pluck up the courage to go say 'hello etc' to them until about an hour later, after a Budweiser & double JD&Coke i went up to Nathen asking for a photo saying how good the gig was etc then went up to Jared & Matthew but Caleb had gone by then.
All in all it was the most surreal night of my life, but i bloody loved it!

I certainly agree, this is the 6th time i have seen them. My girlfriend wanted to start the gig from the birds eye balcony. Which turned out to be a good move! I was getting bored and restless whilst they were sorting the barrier. The security guards tried, to no avail to move the crowd, so Caleb, in a Moses like fashion asked the crowd in an awkard voice to move back and the whole venue instantly swarmed backwards - it was priceless.
After the first two songs we went downstairs and me, my girlfiend and a crazy topless dude were going for it as the guitar rifts ripped around the ballroom. I am sure this is the best performance I have ever seen and definitely spurred the four on.
Gutted I didn't go to the after party, but that gig will live with me forever.
