I bought a 2CD box youth & young manhood/aha shake heartbreak and the ASH disc is not right. it has some german schlager/disco on it the picture on the CD is correct, the flower, so it's not the case of putting a wrong disc in the box. i wonder how that can happen. and the bad thing is, i can't change it, coz i bought it in belfast, UK and i live in tallinn, estonia...

it's NOT illegal. i bought it on the Virgin Megastore in Belfast. that's strange, 'cause I've never heard of KOL box sets being put out.

german disco is so bad!
When I bought Y&YM (by internet long time ago) I got one used but with perfect situation & cheap.
Yeah! Send it back is good, but send just ASH, do you think it'll work?

My advise would be to email them telling them what has happened and demanding a replacement under the sale of Goods act. Chances are they won't pay postage which is the only down side. They have to replace it or give you a full refund as its not what you paid for. (though you will probably have to send back both cds and all packaging and a reciept. (But if you give them an email beforehand theres more chance of them making sure they've got a replacement in stock reserved for you.

Mistakes like that make CDs/Vinyls worth a lot of money...take that shit to a collector and see what you can get for it! Seriously. I've seen CDs were tracks are switched around sell on EBay for way more than market value...so one with German Disco definitely has potential.

Sorry I didn't notice*blushes* but I still think even without the reciept youve got a good chance for the very reason of the responses to this thread. First its an odd package that some people don't even believe exisist, so its not likely you could pick it up in any old place. Secondly as its something a bit special it'll be easier to find in their records. Time and date might surfice as proof of purchase. Oh and if you paid for it by card then that should be fine for proof either.

I believe it exists ! Its just a rare/limited thing it sounds like you got the crossover between lines. That the wrong lable got put onto a disk when they were changing over production lines. Quality control in cds is difficult cos they don't pay people enough to listen to every cd just in case. As for numbers there could be a whole batch of them floating around or yours could have been the single unfortunate. Oh you wouldn't happen to still have the shrink wrap with the HMV price sticker on. That would be enough to make them feel corporately guilty.
