Hello fellow KOL fans! I've been following this site for a minute now and decided to sign up today. To make a long story short I've followed this band ever since one of their uncles turned my brother, who later turned me, onto their work a few years ago When I heard y&ym for the first time it was so refreshing, I thought to myself, this could be one of the best bands in America. After hearing ash for the first time I was blown away. I just knew they would blow up, at the least, here in the south. Then I remembered that good music generally doesn't sell here Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself, hope I don't get on anyone's nerves here. ps.. the new album is just incredible How do ya'll think it will do in the states?

Thank you SuSu and brody74 for the welcome! I'm definitely rooting for their album to do well as well! I'm from a town called Quito. It's about 5 miles north of Millington and 20 miles north of Memphis. I moved to Atlanta when I was 16 and am still living here. My brother knows some of the family, I do not however. And brody74, I feel your pain, it's pretty sad that Britney Spears and 50 cent etc. etc. sell millions while real music is pushed to the back. Atleast Europe supports them and maybe, just maybe, this new album will force the industry to realize that there is a market out there for good music.

I've been to Memphis on business before & it was cool... Cool blues scene & great ribs!

I'm kind of shocked that they don't appreciate that kind of good music in America considering that the kings are American. There has been some fantastic music scenes that has come out of America, so its quite disappointing that their music industry is concentrated with popular music, kind of makes me glad that i live in London. It seems that theres a more diversity in the UK overall with different bands emerging from all corner's of our little Island, but we to still have our fair share of crappy music. But its easier to "crack" England as we as sooo much smaller than America, so once music is played a couple of times on the radio, pretty much everyone has heard of them. ( any band that is)

Specially for Kings whose care about europe and english fans more than americans. Brazilian music has a huge difference of all the rest and I don't know a band with sound resembled

They just dont fit in with the prominant music culture here in the US.
It's a sad truth. But I think anyone who likes rock and roll has to like their stuff.

I agree 100% with you fuzz. Don't mean to rant here but, what has happened to the American music industry? Have you watched the grammy's the past few years? How does Ludacris, Black Eyed Peas, Carrie Underwood, etc.. win all these awards? No offense to people that dig their music but, in my humble opinion, it's garbage and doesn't reflect what most people in this country dig. I understand that the music industry is like any other bureaucracy, in that it's slow and takes time to change, but c'mon! Enough is enough! I could care less about Ludacris and his rants on Oprah and Bill O'Reilly or Fergie's lovely lady lump's. Who gives a rat's ass? I could write on and on about this, but I'll stop. Sorry if I offended anyone but it drives me nuts!
