I think this album has so many great qualities. It shows a lot of growth in the boys, the improvement in their musicianship is truly impressive. I think the congratulations for best growth has to go to Caleb for his songwriting. Especially when it comes to his melodies. This record has some of the best rock melodies I think I've heard in a long time. The power of songs like "Black Thumbnail" and "Charmer" and the aching force of "Fans" and "Arizona" are perfect examples. I do not feel that this is really a great album (I think "Trunk" and "Camaro," or at least just "Camaro," need to be removed). But it's extremely close and I would be very proud to recommend this album to someone who never listened to KoL, though I would have to give them a few warnings. It's so close to being really good! Aaagghhh

I hear ya blackbirdclaw. When I first heard the album it sorta threw me for a loop. I really dug most of it, but it seamed a little scattered. True love way, ragoo, the runner and camaro stick out for me as being like huh? It's different, but I think I can dig it. After listening to the album fully in sequence it all fit quite nicely, especially Trunk Camaro was probably my least favorite track on the album, but now I seem to bump it more and more. It brings back memories of moving from my small hometown at 16 to the exact opposite and seeing all these kids with brand new souped up cobra's, saleen's, thunderbird's, camaro's, benz's and what not in high school, thinking they were the shit, lol
