First post for me so no biting.....loved KOL since first album and for me no band comes close to the euphoric and natural sound they have
new album seems darker to me but theyve still maintained that quality, just in a darker light
without saying sounds like, cos they dont, other influences id liken them too for me include U2, Bloc Party, The Music, Dogs (dogsmusicspace - more new album than old), Stellastarr, YYYs and JEW - more cos of the uplifting styles than similiarity
ps. Hi

My boyfriend's band likes KOL and list one of them as their inspirations, but maybe they don't count because no one whose no who they are...yet...

The Sonics. They're sexy. And, old. But, sexy still.
Not quite anything like KoL, but they had a good sound. Eargasm.

*idea* Here's two Sonics songs that might get you into them.. Walking the Dog www.sendspace.com/file/yf5lpjHave Love, Will Travel www.sendspace.com/file/73r1mkAlso, how about My Morning Jacket, have they been named already? Too lazy too read all the pages again. Ehh..theyre from Kentucky, thats close to Tennessee..and thats probably where the comparisons stop. Oh, My Morning Jacket toured with Pearl Jam too. Full stop.
