I talked to Nate, Caleb, and Jared's father tonight (he is married to my aunt) about the new album and how the guys are doing. He said they're in Nashville right now getting ready to shoot two videos and do a photo shoot for Esquire magazine coming out in March. I told him how fired up this message board is about the new album and he said he was equally excited and said I hope they all go out and buy the album and hopefully they'll finally blow up here in the states.
Also, we talked about the Red Light Knights (my cousin is the bassist Taylor). He said that my aunt some how got the CEO of Capital Records (I think) on the phone. I think they might be setting up to release an EP. Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

I CAN'T WAIT for the new CD to come out already! They recorded it at Blackbird Studios here in Nashville way back in May and it's been torture to have to wait THIS long to hear all the new stuff. I was working in the studio next door and the co-producer Angelo played me a few songs and I saw them last fall in Nashville and I LOVE the new stuff.... KOL is definitely one of the best bands on the planet... I hope they come play Nashville again VERY soon!

KOL have posted a new interview of-sorts up on their myspace in their 'About Kings of Leon' section, talks about the new album and their touring. Good quick read. Nice complement from Dylan too, and he sure knows what he's talkin' bout.

Having just looked at it again, it's the same thing that's in the KOL bio section as well...two places to find it...twice as good.

Since you're related, do you know if the Kings of Leon plan on putting out a live concert DVD? That would be great. Also, tell them to come to Cleveland - we miss them!!!!

I think when kings of leon came to brazil they had filmed the shows and interviewed people to put on DVD - if it's true I still don't know...

Was the show in Brazil a festival with a bunch of other bands, because I'd like to see just them in concert singing their entire playlist rather than just 1 or 2 songs.
There is a great Bonnaroo DVD out showing them play an awesome version of "Trani". They really get into it, but we can only watch them sing that song so many times!
Also, I don't know if anyone is in to My Morning Jacket, but they have a great concert DVD out called Okonos that's really good. Kind of trippy...good to watch wasted!

A bunch of other bands: The Strokes, Arcade Fire, Television, Elvis Costelo...Like some DVDs before, I think it woudn’t be everything, just 4 or 5 songs as seen on TV...There are many bands that releases DVD festivals on their own...they should start with Glastonbury 2004, that was so amazing!!!! (I have the video file but it’s not complete....I can’t see the end of Trani, for example...)

i heard about that too that they filmed the show i went, in rio de janeiro docs that was rad The show you're talking about is the one Caleb is wearing a white T-shirt??? Tim Festival really recorded it (MTV showed several times - just 4 songs, Molly's Chambers was strangely slow....) but they didn't launch the 2005 Festival DVD... Or you're saying the band intend to release this show in a DVD apart from the festival??? Kind of! haha... In this show caleb was wearing a black t-shirt! the tim festival show is just a part of the dvd that we don't know when will be available
