Hi, I read that lead guitarist uses a Jykll and Hyde pedal. but someone else said it was a route 66.
all I know is that in the vid it looks like either but its white I think.
The old jykll and hyde pedals used to be silver, the route 66 is white...
just wondered if anyone new for sure what pedal the lead guitarist uses. These 2 pedals are differnt, the jandh one has like 2 channels of overdrive where the route 66 is overdrive and compression.
Also noticed in the bucket, lead guitarist kicking in what looks like a MXR mini amp pedal on the solo bit.
Does anyone have a full accurate list of what pedals the lead uses.
Also the lead guitarist uses an epihone sheraton, does anyone know if this is like the cheap korean model or a older USA built one.
thanks.

It's definetly the Jekyll & Hyde ultimate overdrive. You can see it here in this photo.. I've seen clearer photo's.. But this one will do.. and Matt also uses an MXR micro amp.. Like you said... Basically his rig is EXACTLY the same as The Strokes.. unless the Strokes pulled in some new gadgets for First Impressions Of Earth.

it makes me laugh how the kings have hardly any effects. then some bands have literally boards full of them.

Yeah it's good man..
Rock and roll's not meant to be difficult.. Caleb's only got a tuner! haha
You should see Omar's pedal rig.. It's fucking insane.. So's Peter's from BRMC too actually.

Yeah we're way tight with Omar..
Apparently he's not even gonna play guitar on their (MV)new record.. He's just orchestrating all the music.. and he'll have written it too.. But yeah, all the guitar playing will be done by John Frusciante...
This is what I've heard anyway.

nope. he uses the route 66 pedal. when i saw them live last year in march, i saw up close what pedal matt was using and it was definitely a 66' pedal. its really awesome, i personally own one. he uses another pedal that he uses probably for more gain. its that skinny white one.

thanks very much.
I thought it was a route 66 to be honest.
I have used the mxr mini amp. Tone wise this is a real nice pedal. Like when u put on normal overdrive pedals and stuff they sound real chessy, this gain pedal though really is sweet with a nice tube amp.
will check out the route 66 too.
