so i s'pose you aint kerazy, altho it dont follow the same pattern
monkeys gone to heaven goes like: 1 23, 1 23, 1 23, 1 2 3
and mollys chambers goes: 1 2, 12121, 1 2 12121
is that clear?, what im trying to say is that theyre the same notes, but totally different beat.

yeah thats clear... it's kinda more clear when they play molly's chambers live... when jared does that little intro thingy but any way he obviously is really influenced the pixies  |

Theres only so many notes in existence. Melodies get repeated in different songs all the time.Coincidence and what not..

Molly's Chambers is 2-2020202220202022202020... (on the E, obviously)
That's what I can make out from the record. The middle F# of those groups of three 2s is a bit hard to hear because the guitars stop for a beat but I'm pretty sure it's there.

Definately noticed this when I was listening to the Pixies last week, bass is so similar. Can't blame Jared though...Pixies are so awesome...  x |
