Ive been trying to learn Matts part in California waiting got the solo and outro sorted.Just the chorus I dont know what the strumming pattern is?Ive look in the tabs section and it look just like down down down strums, but it sounds more complicated in the song?
ANy idea what the strumming pattern is?

just do what feels right,
I do eight downstrokes a bar on G, then usually 2 a bar or thereabouts on Dmaj7

Well depending on the rhythm of the song, a bar can be like.. 4 quavers long or 8 semi quavers long.. so like each bar is like a clump of music like a little section if that makes sense? So in kings, they usually have 4 beats in a bar and that's what gypster is talking about.. so like every four beats or something like that.
