I think we all know by now they had a modest upbringing....my point was that its nice to see how far they've come... Yeah, sorry if that came out as a surly comment, I wasn't in a complete state of mind when I read and replied. I didn't really notice that I was reiterating what you had said. all's forgiven.

hey seeing as youre from philly, do you like/know marah? Ahh yes! Its cool you know them.... nice!! are they big there then? i can never judge it as my dad absolutely adores them so in my househould theyre just as big as the kings lol. whats your favourite album by them? mines usually 20 000 streets but when i listen to kids in philly i prefer that. and i only know random songs off the others but always mean to listen to them. and not many people know them here at all, i never see anything about them bar the odd tiny thing in uncut or something but the thing is if more people heard it theyd love it. as everyone ive played them to loves it, and i was played it and i love it now too!

i'd love to see the kings dance a jig. I've seen Caleb dance a jig (it was hilarious, he tried to get Nate in it too), and two step...he's a really good dancer. It's seems so natural for him, plus the shuffling and shimmying moves he does on stage are more my kind of dancin'. I love it when hes tearing it up and grinding then he saunters around the stage, kickin' his knees inward and thrusting his pelvis round and round...OMG, its so beautiful.

I've only heard Kids in Philly, but I think they have like 4 or 5 albums total. My ex-bf loves them and turned me unto them...but they don't have a big following here yet....I agree that if people were exposed to them, they would love it! Most people in Philly don't even know about them... sad.

Would have been golden if they did some square dancing in the King of the Rodeo video.

I'll do it when I get home from school, if someone hasn't done it by then haha I've been listening to it a lot lately. I feel kind of weird sitting in my room doing pre-cal and listening to mozart....but it's cool I guess haha

s16.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2XZ2M9JBTIJ50151UG02GV5ESCSorry I would have done it ealier but yousendits being awkward but by pre-cal do you mean like maths homework. If you do its proven to be a good combo. The harmony in the Requiem is very mathmatical and should help your brain stay focused, though its not as good for helping indegestion as some of Mozarts work.

That has to be one of the most beautiful pieces i've ever heard in my life. I wish we would have done moving works of art like this when i was in chorus in high school in stead of all the crap we sang. ok, so, i'm a late comer, i know. it's hard business trying to get through all of the threads and topics on here

Its quite a difficult piece for a lot of choirs to do, its a real marathon if you do the whole thing and the range of the parts is very challenging. Its fun to do though, I was fortunate, in college I got to do The Requiem, Handel's Messiah and J.S Bach's St Matthews Passion, which I suppose could be counted as the big three Choral pieces ooo! I forgot we also did African Sanctus by David Fanshawe (one of the weirdest pieces ever) William Walton's Belshazzar's Feast though we didn't perform those properly.

HA! now i'm jealous. My choir was just filled with a bunch of people who thought they could sing and were in there just to get an easy grade. LU-CKY!

My choir was compulsory for all students (added up to about 100 with staff) in the music faculty, and was taken very very seriously, the rehersals were usually 2 hours a week but this could easilly shoot up to seven hours all in "free" time, though missing choir was classed as worse than missing any lesson but it was really good fun.
