magazines like to lable the kings as "Holly Rollers" probably after their song Holly Roller Novacaine.
But was this term stolen from the beatls??
If you will notice in the song Come Together the lyrics
"Here come old flattop he come grooving up slowly
He got joo-joo eyeball he one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker he just do what he please"
Is holly roller one of those age old phrases, or is it beatle made?
Either way, holly roller novacaine is a kick ass line.

no....I'm pretty sure the beatles didn't invent the term 'holy roller' I've heard it tons of other places (in books etc.)

it's a pretty common... my favorite use is definately on the Simpsons, where Ned Flanders and Reverend Lovejoy's bowling team is the Holy Rollers

anywayzzzz........
holly roller as far as i know, is cuz Jesus walked holding up the cross, when church goers started carring the cross so that they could feel what Jesus went through but they had to put wheels on it so that it would be easier to move, cuz it supposed to be like 100 lbs or something.......hence Holly Roller, and so that is what they call ppl taht are real relgious or take part in that of carring of the cross
