There might have already been a thread on this but I really don't want to search for it. I just got an iPod recently and I was wondering how people convereted the Aha Shake Heartbreak CD into MP3 format? I have the North American version and the stupid copyright thing won't allow me to convert the songs in Itunes. Help..I want to listen to KOL from my beautiful quality sounding cd on my iPod.

Well I have the German version, but could you try saving the tracks to realplayer, and then save to your computer? That's how I've been able to do it with some copyright cds.

Can you put songs from Windows media player onto your ipod?
If you can I just put in the CD and somewhere I think it said to download it on the screen or something or save it to windows media player. Err I don't know if that description was good but my CD is not with me at the moment.

It is actually very easy once you have the proper info. I was lucky enough to stumble upon it after I bought Aha Shake Heartbreak and searched all the iPod forums I could until I found a solution. Here is the link, www.cs.princeton.edu/~jhalderm/cd3/ , just scroll down 1/3 or so and just after the anti-copy system header is a dotted box (not the one with the yellow background further down), just follow those instructions and in about 5 minutes you can rip the album to iTunes and then copy to your iPod. Hope this helps.

I have it on my computer in MPEG4 format. Which is the iPod format. I could send you it if you wanted? It would save you trying to convert it all yourself and everything.

It looks like it's all been sorted now, but I just wanted to have my say. I use a programme called Soundstream (it's a part of my CD-writer software) where you can transfer tracks from CD to your PC (or vice versa), but anyway I use it to put tracks on my PC from CDs. If I was just to do it the tracks would be .wavs and huge, but it is possible to change the format to MP3s (or wmas I believe). Anyhoo, that's how I do it!
