Group email

Hi all,

I've been thinking about putting together a public email where everyone will have access to the password, so that people can download audio interview, videos, B sides, etc through email attachments. I know the Libertines' fans have something like this.

The actual email will be very organized, so if you're looking for a certain video or interview it will be easy to find, and people won't really need to keep putting things on yousendit. Also if someone's computer crashes or whatnot, there will be a place for them to go, and get everything back.

I don't know if I explained this very well, but I think it would be a good idea. I don't know much about computers, but I have seen this done before. Let me know what you all think, and I'll get started with it.

Any help as far as videos, interviews and other things that I might not have on my computer would be greatly appreciated!

I don't fully understand (I'm not good with technical things as you will gather) but in principal it sounds fab.

I was thinking about gmail. It's so easy to use, plus I think a search engine on it would be helpful. Plus they have so much space!

Over the next few days I'm going to go through the last few pages, and the interviews thread to get stuff together.

yup, but I haven't seen it online.

Yeah the killers used gmail but it kept malfunctioning saying that the account was being misused or something because of so many logins per day. I'm just putting that in, in case it might cause a problem.

I also had a problem with Gmail saying that I overused it or something but maybe its just the operator.

mmmm, I'll have to look into that. I was hoping with all the new space they have, it wouldn't be as much of a problem.
