i dont think the Kings are gonna play a 43 000 seater football venue. unless their supporting someone but only destinys child and neil diamond are playing there this summer and thats early summer.

also theres a football match to be played a week after said date. not likely theyd let a concert on the pitch.

plus ill probably be interailing this date!

i hate to be a pessimist but i really dont see the sense in this.

why would they not play the point (8000 capacity) which they would still struggle to sell. they just aint a big enough act for lansdowne road. last time they played open air over (Oxegen) here they went down very badly.

i think its one of these 3 things:

1. a mistake
2. they are the support act to someone who hasnt yet been announced for lansdowne.
3. the U2 tour is getting them really into open air gigs, and they reckon that the U2 connection will help them get serious ticket sales. ( but from what i hear they aint been too suited to stadiums so far)

lots of ppl are gettin excited about this, on the other sit e too so i hope its true, but for some reason it seems really unlikely. like a late april fools!

ill be keeping my eyes open and hoping........if i hear anything ill be back
