I bought my youth and young manhood around november of '03 (in the U.S) and it has both the demo version of dusty (which I prefer) and the more polished version of california waiting (I'm guessing that's the original, the one kol said they didn't like)...so which edition of yaym do I have? it wasn't an import, but I can't figure it out, because I'm the only one of all of my friends that has this version.

I have been confused with this whole dusty polished un-polished version thing. Does anyone have both versions? I will listen to them and figure out which one is on the record I have... I bought mine the day it came out in the States way back when... I don't know if that will help but I will try.
As for California Waiting: I have the EP and there is a difference on yaym. Maybe you can't hear it though so you think it is the same? Whe I bought the record I seriously had to listen to one on my stereo and one on headphones to figure out the difference at first.
This is definately confusing because I don't think they made more than one american version/copy/form of the yaym CD.

demo of dusty has background noise at the begining: talking & snooker balls being hit
album version doesn't.
sorry but that's the best way to describe it as i can't upload them.
