Welcome to the board:) Flowers usually are associated symbolically to a womans clitoris, vaginal area. Hence the term "deflower" when someone loses their virginity. Since the album has a lot of sexual content it seems appropriate to place a sexy, exotic flower to represent erotic content. Symbols are a lot smarter then simply placing a half naked woman on the cover of the album. I believe that the flower idea was lifted from the famous female painter Georgia O'Keeffe who painted huge oil paintings of close up images of flowers. She said they can represent anything you want, but people really saw that they had a sexual content associated with them. Examples of some of her "sexualized" flowers     |

yeh i read an article in gq the other day about the guy who does the album work for radiohead.. a few years ago he was going to do cover work for a radiohead album a bit like this - pornography and flowers or something like that.. but then he decided against it. Wierd. He's a fucking legend though isn't he?
