isn't it weird? It freaked me out at first, but i guess that Gospel feel is where their heads were at back then. Its cool to see how they've developed. i wonder who wrote the waaaaay cheeeeeeeesy lyrics...

So, ascap says they wrote the lyrics? Or the music? I can hear a little of what would become KoL. It's suppose to be all sweat and Christian but coming from them it really sounds perverted.

Actually the weird thing is that my mother had the soundtrack to that film and I'd heard the song before. I didn't realize they wrote it until I was checking out the ASCAP site. And for gods sake, who would ever think that Michael McDonald was doing anything remotely interesting? Which is not to say that the song in question is interesting. (sorry.) Only its origins. And creators. Ahem.
