Friday the 20th I saw Kings of Leon perform at Pukkelpop (Belgium). The music was really great and amazing, but I was a bit disappointed of their attitude. They didn't smile or say anything. Ok, Caleb apologized for that: 'We're not into being funny and saying a lot, we're here for the music'. But they took themselves far too seriously! It was like they didn't even want to be there. I don't know, maybe it was my imagination, but Jared really seemed a bit arrogant too. At one point, he knocked over his bottle of beer and some man had to clean it up, but Jared acted like it was beneath his dignity to even look at the poor guy or to thank him. Well... apart from that and from the agressive drunken men in the audience, it was a really wonderful experience They played some new stuff which sounded very groovy and I bought a very cool t-shirt so that everyone can see how much of a fan I am! Can't wait to see them again (I hope, however, that they'll be in a better mood!) Love from the Belgian girl Birsen

Aaaw sorry u feel like that hun but I'm glad u enjoyed the performance. I doubt it was that they didn't want to be there, they never seem to say much at gigs or laugh or owt like that, its just their thing. And Jared is a bit arrogant, thats why he may have seemed that way Thats *my* opinion anyway!

I think Caleb gets a bit overwhelmed and shy at festivals to talk to such a huge crowd. I don't think its that they take themselves too seriously.

"You actually may have seen us, if you where up front. We were the ones with the big Appleshakers-flag." Hey I was up front too! However, I didn't see your flag, but were you the ones who spoke English to each other? And did you sit there a huge amount of time before the performance started? Anyway, I'm glad you liked the festival, I think it's the best one in Belgium. But hey, we haven't got that many festivals in our small country, have we!

Yeah, Belgium was nice. We had great problems finding food- and liquor-stores though... seems like the belgic people only eat bread? but hey, I love bread!

Or a woeful lack of street cred.
