I'm afraid I didn't pay enough attention to KoL as they deserved... especially as i'd waited for it, standing there ALL DAY... as most of my energy went on holiding onto the rail and dodging the obnoxious-drunken-tosser-next-to-me's elbow. The set seemed mainly new stuff with the 'classic' old ones' in there for good measure. I've never liked Trani on the CD but it was increadible. Even if Jared's scream made me just out of my skin. Gosh that boy is so funky. And Caleb. Caleb dances better than Adam Green and that's saying A LOT. They were marvellous. Truthfully, it's a shame the crowd were so horrible otherwise it would have been the best thing i've ever experienced.
It's 1.40am. I just got home and eat a bowl of pasta. I have to go to my bed now. I just wanted to say.
Wow.

I saw the highlights last night. bad sound. what happened there? you couldn't even hear nathan at all let alone caleb! infact you couldn't really hear anythign apart from the crowd. which was kinda scary cause it sounded like the crowd was more in control than they were., which of course wasn't true, only sounded that way. mob. it unnerves me to hear a crowd know every single line of red (that is my new nickname for the dirtiest birdiest song cause it's cool and i like it). ohh things could go on. and yeah where did i read it? was it rusty? i think so. they cut out the bloody solo! what the fuck!! somehow i don't think it was off the sound desk that channel four got it's feed from. yeah but i dunno that whole thing was weird. nathan with no glasses had far more face than i ever realised, wearing white at the back with no lights made me think that it was no longer caleb who was being posessed by a spirit. what the fuck! i just really want someone to tell me that guy is alright cause i coud either pussy foot around this forum seeping my worry out thru deranged posts or i could just say i'm really worried for him! come to my bed i'll feed you chicken soup and no one will come looking for you in bradford because they'll all be too scared of the bnp blowing them up! hahaha
what else was i gonna say, yeah it was pretty shit and that wasn' the fault of the leon. glad you had a great time when you were there lolo (that's a funny name to spell!)
oh and nathan wasn't being interviewed either. peculiar. maybe caleb is getting some practice with his PR skills. who knows. Cat deeley made me laugh my arse off though! she soooo jumped him! (glad you saw it too jiffy!) and then as some kinda excuse for why she just did that she said, the most stupid thing, yes there's sweat there! haha it's ok cat deeley we know why you did it. haha
and a yay for their bein "prettier girls at V" so happy for you all.

Hmm the sound was fine for me. Seriously. I couldn't understand Caleb but that's a different matter.
The crowd were the only crap thing about that night. Fucking wankers the lot of them, except my dear self and the girls I made friends with next to me. Festivals make me realise how much I love music and how much I hate people.
Yeah they did cut of a bit of a song. I remember now.

The Sound there was probably fine but on channel 4 it sounded like it was bootleged with a stereopair in someones pocket. Channel 4 must have not asked nicely enough for a direct feed.

I was at V in about the 4th row and it was amazing!
Me and my sister were by far the best fans there. We knew all the words, new songs included and had a brilliant time.
At one point we both fell over and nearly got trampled to death but it's all part and parcel!
Can't wait for the new album and coinciding tour! KOL forever!

*Edit* this was for Weston Park in Staffordshire btw peeps. Me and my sister were by far the best fans there. *Ahem* Thats rather a bold statement to make. I knew all the words aswell, however I am not going to say that I was the "best" fan there Aaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, was fucking amazing!!! I am in so so so so so much pain. Nearly decked a fucking bitch behind me during KOL, security had to come over & tell us off lol coz we were screaming at eachother. How embarrassing. Fucking bitch nearly broke my back. Wish I'd have nutted her now. Only joking kids! Yeah I had to concentrate on not dying aswell hun. I was on the barrier inbetween Caleb & Jared, had really cool people either side of me it was just the bastards behind me. I was expecting to hear a crack as one of my ribs broke but alas, I was ok They didn't play King of the Rodeo, which I was upset about but sel had already warned me. They played the Bucket which I don't like as much as the other new songs but it was still very good. MILK!!! Fucking Milk!! A tie as my new fave song with King, its so gorgeous. Trani was amazing, Jared's scream yey!! The guy next to me who I had befriended put his arm round me & we were just like stood there transfixed....amazing. I had *such* a good day. Fucked off the couple I was with at about 2:45 & went straight to the NME stage. The Killers were very good! As were Embrace. Elbow were sooooooooooooooooo boring. Keane were ok but not a big fan. All American Rejects we heckled in a not very nice manner But we had to amuse ourselves somehow! I met the coolest people, Ginge, Scimon & loads of randoms who I don't know what they're names were. If u were near the front at any point during the day, I was with the ginger chap that kept saying 'morning' & shouting DAN! Hehehehahaha sooooo funny He'd had his nipple pierced on Thursday on site so was in a bit of pain, but apparently he liked it!! The Cat Deeley interview made me laugh my arse off!! I was like cringing, how embarrassing for her. Don't worry Cat, Caleb has that affect on me too love. I bet if she watches it back she will die. Bet her fella wasn't happy hehe!! Caleb had obviously straightened his hair at V Chelmsford, how sweet! I wonder who got to do that Anyway KOL were really good. I'm starting to feel differently about them now tho......I think its mainly because of Jared. I don't feel as intensely about them coz I don't like how they're changing....oh I dunno, I'm just tired I guess....... Ignore me. Other bands: can't remember them all but I enjoyed NERD, Pixies were ok but crowd very violent, bodies flying everywhere!! Scimon said he had sandals on for it & was in the crowd, needless to say his feet were a bloody pulp afterwards, beautiful. Strokes were fab!! I was about 10 rows back & stayed there for about 10 songs but then I had to get out. Julian was so funny! I love that he was wasted as it didn't affect his performance, he was still really good. Scissor Sisters were fantastic! I can't remember who else we watched. So many memories Oh yeah, Nacho. I was shouting his name before & he sort of waved in my vague direction, then afterwards when he was at the front of the stage I shouted 'Nacho we love yoooooooooooooooooooooou' & he looked at me while I was still saying it & laughed his arse off hehe!! And waved aaaaaaaaw he so bootiful when he smiles *dreamy* Wow, essay.

*Ahem* Thats rather a bold statement to make. I knew all the words aswell, however I am not going to say that I was the "best" fan there aye i agree, as i was at chemlsford! it just depends where you are in the crowd. i thought they were brilliant anyway, apart from i did think that you couldnt hear them too well during the first two songs (mollys chambers and red morning light). i thought razz was amazing, i swear that second bassy bit after the last verse bit sounded soooo brilliant, and not like at bonnaroo! but apart from that the new new songs i thought were great, i wish i had milk on bootleg as that one catchy bit has been in my head all day lol. trani aaah. i love jared's scream so much!! ooh and also, pistol of fire i thought was really great, i love that beginning bit live! but besides them, the nme stage was so shit i thought! the killers were great though, keane alright, elbow *yawn*, all american rejects are shit and up themselves, dashboard confessional, not my thing, embrace were alright, but thankfully kings were worth it!

oh btw, i was surprised they didnt play king of the rodeo! but glad they played new single (sounds good from what i can remember now!) and also wasted time woo, not heard that in ages! bring back joe's head for a bit now! oh and also, it was nice to open with mollys chambers i think, makes a change.

they are changing and i think alot of the fans are a lil shook by it. we'll still be here but i think maybe they're starting to realise themselves, how much their popularity has grown. i guess, it would be hard for them to tell since they've been touring so much and you never really know what a country is like with your band until you step infront of them and play. everything's evolving honeys but it'll settle again soon. my nostalgia is kicking in but it can't be like that forever. new album and tour soon. they opened with molly's chambers? cool!
