Hello everybody! I've been watching you all for a little while now and I can no longer hold myself back from posting. You all seem like a nice bunch so I'll introduce myself!

My name is mogs and I luuuurve KOL. I've seen them five times, the last time being up in bonnie Scotland at T in the Park.

New songs are ace and I'm off to see them at V tomorrow. I may wet my pants soon i'm so excited!

Anybody else off to V. My sister cried when we saw KOL in Scotland and didn't calm down for approximately 1hr after their set meaning that we missed half of the Pixies.

Very excited! I'm only going for the day so no camping this time which is quite a nice thought.

Omigod - the V(f)est coverage last night!!! All I can say is WOW. Our Caleb must have himself some pretty powerful sexual magnetism, ‘cause it publicly turned Cat Deeley into a desperate woman. (Oh, for all our non-Brit friends, Cat Deeley is a very attractive and fairly personable ex-model TV presenter who went thru MTV and now does a lot of kiddies TV and family shows, with the occasional music thing. The point is, she’s nice, but basically kinda bland and professional – she’s interviewed thousands of musicians and I’ve not seen her flirt with a single one EVER. Oh, except maybe Pharrell.)
So, there’s Cat and Jared (‘excitable but adorable puppy needs a good home, enjoys games and lots of attention, not yet toilet trained’) and Caleb chewing the fat about sartorial style and (lack of) general hygiene, when Caleb points out that his extremely tight green hoody (yes, he looks v.good in green) is still bearing the sweat marks of the previous night’s gig. Cat practically runs out of her chair to bury her head in his chest, emerging a few lingering seconds later to confirm that, yes indeed, there is sweat there.
She fucking well JUMPED him on national TV!!!
Really, if you don’t know Cat Deeley, you don’t realise how hilariously funny this is. It was like some bizarre nature programme. I half-expected to hear a voice-over from Sir Richard of Attenborough guiding us through this unsubtle mating ritual…

His companion Jared (Teendream-Jaredegomaniacus) looks on at this display with a knowing smile, and one senses no real challenge for this female’s attention – her mate has been chosen.”<br>And what was almost as funny was her conversation with co-presenter Vernon (yes, real name, and quite a sexy bloke actually) later in the show. “I hear you found the Kings of Leon quite attractive” he grinned. Cat seemed a bit caught off her guard and said yes, but then suddenly remembered that she was only being watched by – oooh, a good few million people – and went on to joke that she found all of them attractive. Not a particularly good save there, Cat m’love. Oh, and did anyone notice how whenever she would list the names of featured bands, they were all just bands – apart from Kings of Leon, who were always ‘fanTAStic’?! Making good use of a traditional technique I notice oft-championed by our old friend Miss Moss. Well, the ‘Constant Flattery’ trick does seem to do the job, I guess.
After all that brown-nosing I do hope she got serviced. Bless her, she put in so much effort.
Sorry, I just found the whole scene far too funny not to share. I’ll shut up now.
*Jiffy begins to breathe steadily in and out of a brown paper bag, attempting to quell waves of jealousy. Oh, to push face in The Sweat of The Caleb...le sigh*

P.S. what was going on with the sound for RML? The only band the whole night who sounded like they were stranded down the end of a very long mine shaft. The bloody crowd were louder than they were. Where’s the justice?

i was extremely disappointed that someone like Dido gets coverage of more than one song, while KoL only got a drowned out Red Morning Light. Fuckkkkk offfffffff.

On a side note, did you see Jared's face when the crowd would sing back the chorus? He looked like he'd never heard anything like it before. Kind of sweet. Too bad we couldnt actually hear the band sing at all.

Also, Nathan's looking pretty damned worn down... methinks they need a break. Jesus.
