Here's the deal.
In early 2003 I tried to start a KoL Street Team but it never really happened because the management didn't reply to me and I gave up. I just found out from the Official Board that KoL's old Street Team was shite and stopped.
I have quite a bit of experience running Street Teams and If I started up another, good, Street Team do you think there would be sufficient interest in it? Is it something people want? I normally use flyers and online promo but do you think the KoL loving people would prefer different types of promo and if so, what?
My type of Street Teams are less about 'spam boards to promote the band or i'll kill you' and more about creating a way for people to meet each other and do promotion but it's more relaxed than some.
Thoughts please. I could probably have it done by the end of the week if I get my arse in gear.

Hehe I can claim no responsibility for it but I was so please when Ifound it. I have this one too but I don't use it coz it's a bit dark to see what's going on: You like? I adore that film. I just got the special edition DVD for a tenner. Score. I haven't watched it yet though... The main one is for a band called Rooney www.ukrooneystreetteam.tk but I also do a small one for a tiny London band called The Flea Circus www.thefleacircus.com. But The Rooney one is a lot bigger.

lol Opie must die. I love that movie. I love the idea of an active street team. I joined the other one a couple weeks ago but nothing was really going on. The flyers sound like a good idea, badges might be nice too.

Haha i'm big on flyers. Well, if people think they would be interested in doing stuff. To be honest I thought maybe the KoL fanbase wouldn't be into the Street Team kind of thing, some are, some aren't.

Hehe. I think I might watch it tonight. A Street Team is basically an organisation which promotes bands. You join up and then talk online, hand out flyers, stickers, badges whatever to help spread the word. It works well for smaller bands and getting people to come to their shows... im still not convinced if it's needed for KoL. It's hurting my head.

I think it's needed, I only know a few people from the US who know aboutKoL and I only know them through the internet. It'll be good to promote with the new album coming out soon too.

True. That's an excellent point. Right, well. Out to work this evening but I shall try and see what I can create in the next week or so.
Thanks for the encouragement.

Haha. It's called 'Almost Famous: Untitled' and it's a two disk malarky with interviews and whatnot but pretty much a different version of the film too all with extra scenes (i think). HMV have it for about £25 but I got it in the sale.
