anyways... i'd say, despite their attempts to rid themselves of their sometimes disturbing 'southern' views, they do have a sad, a very fucking sad state of opinion when it comes to women. you're post about their father thinking you were a groupie simply because you drove such a long way to meet them, upset me. it seems as though, any female fan who wants to meet the band automatically gets labelled with the tag of being a groupie or a wannabe groupie for that matter. Is that because the band doesnt' value women enough to respect their pure honest love for MUSIC?! no, i think it is because they have become jaded by the road and have unfortunately begun to become cynical when it comes to the women that they meet. so why, when all you meet mostly are, fake women who don't have enough respect for themselves to realise how their actions are close to being compared to 'whoring themselves out' and if they do don't exactly care 'because they're a rock starrrrr' would you think twice about what you say when it comes to that issue. i am in no way supporting jareds opinions if he was around me right now i'd slap him around with a slipper for being such a cock. but my point is, when women themselves are acting in such a degrading fashion why the hell should men (let alone anyway) respect them? the band seem therefore to have lost touch with 'real' women to have lost touch with what the sense of a 'true' person is and for that, i feel deeply sorry for them as they never have and seemed to have promoted themselves (in the early days at least) upon the suggestion that they are 'true' people themselves with more than a grasp on reality and what the nitty gritty of life was all about. maybe jared was too young to appreciate the rough days. but everyone grows up. when you speak of this 'knowledge being passed on' firstly guys are guys and always will be. guys never respect girls when they're younger, once they get dumped enough times they begin to realise that 'no, we don't like being treated that way', around the age of older than jared. i guess, they've always been on the road and i guess in one way or another they've never really that often come across the kind of women who are real and give reason for why the opposite sex should respect them, but then again maybe i'm just blind. I completely agree with everything you said there! A lot of female "fans" really give the rest of us a bad name. And sadly boys will be boys, and this goes for wherever in the world you they are from, a lot of them think that females can't really be THAT into the music and if they like a band, the main reason is because they want to sleep with the members. I'm just HOPING Jared's comments are simply because he is 18 years old - and honestly, who knows any 18 year old boys who do think of women in any other respect than something to have sex with?? He'll grow up......eventually. |

this was so out of context. they take sarcastic things about him liking girls that will have sex w/ him for his money and make it seem like his actuall beliefs. get over it. he hates l.a. girls. his girlfriend is english and she knew about the interview and knew he was joking and was part of the reason he said that, as a joke. don't believe the press! ever!

I think the word girlfriend may be used the loosest sense of the word.
I dunno. See Caleb and Nathan have the aura of men that would happily settle down and build their missus and lovely house and have 238738745873 kids a la The Waltons and in old age sit happily on rocking chairs by the fire.
But Jared, I can't see. Og my god he'll be an ageing swinger. He'll beome Austn Powers and make Matthew shave his head and be Dr.Evil.

Whether Bart knows what he's talking about or not, his post illustrates an important point - what he's saying could easily be true.. the media are always doing this sort of thing - its unwise to believe the written word, especially from only one (and in this case, dubious) source. Until I see footage of him saying something like this, the guys innocent in my books. And so is freddy starr for that sickening hamster incident |
