they were free with nme a while ago, wouldn't pay £4.99 for them though... i scanned them huge and put them in the press bit of the site. my advice would be to buy some photo paper and print them.. way cheaper

I've got to make a few serous points *hears everyone yawn and leave* the pictures were published in NME (Jan 10th 2004) as a an excelent series of 8 images (12"x9.5" ) in a pull out center section.
These images are credited to Jo McCaughey.
Looking at the price for this item they cannot possibly be "Art prints" of any sort as quality paper and any decent quality print process would cost at least the starting price.
Admittedly this would seem reasonable but...
Do UK Vippers own the copyright on these pictures and if (as I suspect) they don't, does any money from this sale go to Jo McCaughey?
My personal opinion I know but I think it should. That set of pictures are among the most beautiful natural pictures of the Kings I've ever seen produced with style, soul and an exemplary eye for the subject. This photographer doesn't deserve to be ripped off!
I'd like to see more of her work and people selling ripped of prints will not help this, its like paying someone full price for a pitated cd. You get cheated, the artist gets cheated and the only person that really profits is the middle man.
If you want these images buy the backissue of NME as that way some of your money will go to the photographer, and we may see more in the future.

Ok this is really silly *snigger* but I was looking through my old NME's coz I wanted a particular poster of Julian I knew was in one of them & came across the issue with these posters in lol!! So I now have them.
I'm such a silly arse...

this is what i find so disturbing about ebay. the fact that it not only has the potential to discredit and steal someones rightful income as in regard to ripping off anothers work but that they also decieve the public. the ease with which it can be done is also scary. credit should be given where it is due and it should not be falsely advertised. tut tut to the people who wish to sell these prints. we the public are smarter.

*Nods* to Betty. The sad thing is I'm not sure wether the general public is smart enough not to fall for things like that. At least we know Kings fans won't.
Kings fans are smarter than the average bear, which makes it doubley insulting that these people try and scam us. grrr.

I don't know how to express my opinion on this subject but I just wanted to say I agree with both wired and jane and that i think it's important you've posted your opinions on this .. because you're both right!
